Tidebreak’s core technologies originated in one of the world’s leading research laboratories. We continue to advance the state-of-the-art for interactive workspaces with products that revolutionize the way people can work together. Here are some of the latest innovations our team has included in Tidebreak’s product family.
Tidebreak provides a simple, consistent user experience across all its products, making it easy to go from TeamSpot to ClassSpot without re-training. In fact, users have a universal Client that works across TeamSpot, ClassSpot and ClassSpot/PBL, so a single installation is all one needs to use the entire product line.
Allow visitors or first-time users to connect to a TeamSpot or ClassSpot with a just single keystroke — and without installing software — using a pre-configured Tidebreak Client running on a USB drive. ReadyClient is the perfect solution for inviting visitors to join a session or for users who do not have Administrator rights to install software on their computer.
When TeamSpot or ClassSpot is used in conjunction with a 3rd Party capture solution, such as Luidia’s eBeam®, any writing or drawing done on the board will be automatically saved to the session archive.
Campuses can download and distribute digital orientation materials that illustrate best practices for using TeamSpot and ClassSpot. These range from printable posters and handouts to online video tutorials, and include animated screensavers that illustrate how to make the most of the collaborative technology.
Tidebreak’s Usage Reporting functionality comes built-in with our TeamSpot and ClassSpot products. The system can be activated during the Host installation process. Usage reporting allows IT professionals to assess usage rates for Tidebreak installations across 24hours periods to determine where and when students are using informal meeting areas. Usage data can be sent to an on-campus location. Optionally, the data can be sent to Tidebreak for processing and reporting.
Tidebreak makes it easy to deploy and maintain TeamSpot and ClassSpot installations across your campus by conforming to a variety of common deployment scenarios. Host configurations can now be stored in any location — including network drives — allowing Host computer images to be managed using products like DeepFreeze™.
This same facility also allows all Hosts on campus to be upgraded by simply updating the master Host image. Both TeamSpot and ClassSpot now support per-machine master configurations for enhanced security, so users can login to the Host machine using their own credentials. Tidebreak Clients can be pre-configured to list all TeamSpot and ClassSpot locations on campus, so students can simply select a location from a menu to connect to it.
