Product Datasheet: TeamSpot
Tidebreak solves the “laptop huddle” problem with TeamSpot™, the company’s market-leading solution for team work spaces. Tidebreak’s newest product, ClassSpot, delivers advanced interaction capabilities to the classroom, making it easy for students to show the results of their work and punctuate their discussions by sharing digital content across devices. Each product delivers advanced capabilities in its own right; together they offer a unified collaboration experience across corporate and academic campuses.
Tidebreak Named an Innovation Leader
Tidebreak was selected to receive the Campus Technology Innovator Award for its work to enable a high-tech incubator classroom at San Jose State University (SJSU). The award program is highly competitive, having received a total of 338 nominations. SJSU has deployed Tidebreak’s ClassSpot™ software in conjunction with products from AMX, Apple, HP, Polycom, SMART and others to result in a new form of interactive classroom that serves as a prototype on SJSU’s Silicon Valley Campus. ClassSpot is the software infrastructure – the “glue” – that provides a coherent interaction experience across the installed systems.
“In a classroom rich with interactive technologies, ClassSpot stands head and shoulders above the rest,” says Menko Johnson, the Instructional Technologist who manages the Incubator Classroom. “Students and faculty are finally able to exchange digital information quickly and effectively, and they love it.”
Latest Tidebreak Products Continue to Lead the Market
Tidebreak’s TeamSpot and ClassSpot continue to offer the most powerful solutions for group collaboration available today, delivering cross-device interaction, screen sharing, “drag & drop” file and web content transfer, and automated information capture and distribution capabilities. Paired with Luidia’s eBeam® product, TeamSpot and ClassSpot also offer digital capture from standard whiteboard surfaces.
Tidebreak’s cross-platform support for Windows and Mac OSX, and the products’ ability to interface with any desktop software application, continue to be unique to the industry.
Tidebreak has now refreshed both products with requested features and enhanced the user experience to make it simple for new users to start benefiting from these features right away. The new releases feature the Tidebreak Universal Client, which is seamlessly compatible across Tidebreak’s TeamSpot and ClassSpot solutions. They also offer a “plug-and-go” option — the Tidebreak ReadyClient™ — that allows first-time users to join a TeamSpot by simply plugging in a pre-loaded USB drive. Improved enterprise deployment and management — including central-server installation, enhanced usage reporting and custom scripts for disk imaging solutions — is another major area of improvement now standard on both products.
Tidebreak Exhibit Booth at the INFOCOMM Show
Tidebreak will demonstrate the latest releases of both products in Booth C3186 of the INFOCOMM’08 Exhibits Hall in Las Vegas, NV from June 18 – 20, 2008. Attendees will get a chance to test both products’ capabilities to see for themselves how they deliver more effective team collaboration and smoothly integrate both OS X and Windows platforms in mixed environments.
Tidebreak’s CEO, Dr. Andrew J. Milne, a frequent speaker on the topic of technology-supported collaboration in the “Interaction Age,” will be available to meet with industry leaders and others by appointment at the show.
