July 31, 2007: Tidebreak Featured Prominently at Campus Technology 2007 Conference
Tidebreak will participate in the Campus Technology 2007 Conference (CT2007) in Washington DC from July 31 - August 2, 2007. Named one of 2007’s Innovation Leaders, company representatives will be on hand for demonstrations in the Exhibit Hall. Also, Tidebreak’s CEO, Dr. Andrew J. Milne, will co-present with representatives of San Jose State University on their award-winning Incubator Classroom installation.
Tidebreak Named Campus 2007 Innovation Leader in High-Tech Learning Spaces Category
Tidebreak was selected to receive the Campus Technology 2007 Innovator Award for its work to enable a high-tech incubator classroom at San Jose State University (SJSU). The award program is highly competitive, with only 13 projects selected from this year’s total of 338 nominations. A single award is given for each technology product category, and Tidebreak was chosen as a recipient in the “High-Tech Learning Spaces” category. SJSU deployed Tidebreak’s software in conjunction with products from AMX, Apple, HP, Polycom, SMART and others to result in a new form of interactive classroom that will serve as a prototype on SJSU’s Silicon Valley Campus.
Exhibit Booth Showcases the Latest Tidebreak Products
Tidebreak will demonstrate the newly released TeamSpot 3.2 system, featuring physical whiteboard capture enabled via Luidia’s eBeam system, as part of the CT2007 Exhibit Hall. Tidebreak will also preview ClassSpot — the newest edition to Tidebreak’s product family — as part of the exhibit events. Attendees will get a chance to test TeamSpot’s capabilities to see for themselves how it delivers more effective team collaboration and smoothly integrates both OS X and Windows platforms. Visit Tidebreak in Booth 210 at the CT2007 event.

The center also boasts a technology incubator classroom which includes dual rear-projection Smart Boards from Smart Technologies, high-resolution projection systems and document camera, videoconferencing and student response systems, tablet PCs and Apple MacBook Pros for student use, wired and wireless access, and a range of apps for collaboration. Join key members of the project team as they review their design issues, challenges, and successes in bringing together myriad technologies to meet student needs.
